Hello Sweet Friends!
I am here to talk 2020 Festivals!! But first, I hope everyone is fairing well in Quarantine no matter where you are or what your circumstance. I’m always here to chat about stresses or help in anyway I possibly can. I know being isolated from your usual activities is probably effecting everyone in different ways. Personally it’s making me so thankful for things I never realized meant so much to me, things I absolutely took for granted. Things like traveling whenever I want, or losing track of time in a coffee shop, or going to festivals and standing in a giant crowd drinking an overpriced beer.
That last one has really been getting to me lately! I can’t wait until we are able to come together drink a cold beer and sing our hearts out again! I’ve been reminiscing on my favorite festival memories lately to keep me sane, and trying to figure out which festivals are still scheduled to happen in 2020. So, I thought I’d share my findings for anyone else having the same concert withdrawals as me. Here are all of the 2020 Festivals I found that, at this time, are still scheduled to happen this year.
So far, this is still scheduled to happen in Chicago at the end of July!! Y’all I went to Chicago in March & fell in love! What a beautiful city! It sounds like they will make a definitive decision on if this festival will take place by the end of May so, until then they have not released this years line up. 2019 headliners included: Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, and The Chainsmokers. Fabulous City & Promising Lineup!
Scheduled to take place in Golden Gate Park, San Fransisco this festival has so much to offer it is more of an experience that just a festival. Different “Lands” offered include: Wine Land, Beer Land, Cheese Land, Oyster Land, Grass Land, Outside Art, & Outside Marketplace.
In light of the circumstances this festival is now one day. Taking place in Los Angeles, CA. The line up for 2020 includes throwback artists such as Usher, TLC, Lil Jon, Ludacris, Nelly, T-Pain, Lil Kim, Brandy, Fat Joe, and Genuwine. Woah! There has been speculation if this festival is the real deal or another Fyre Fest.
This is a two-day festival at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas that features today’s biggest name artists. The 2019 lineup included: Alicia Keys, Cage The Elephant, Camila Cabello, Chance The Rapper, Halsey, Miley Cyrus, Mumford & Sons, Tim McGraw, and Zac Brown Band.
Y’all this festival is the best. I’m so glad it’s still on the schedule for this year. San Diego is beautiful this time of year and now that the festival is being moved downtown, to Petco Park, it will be within walking distance of everything. The 2020 lineup hasn’t been released yet, but last year we were able to see Dave Matthews Band, Mumford & Sons, The Revivalists, and OneRepublic.
Held in Manchester, Tennessee! The most notable thing about this festival is that they set the standard for sustainability and green festival practices in North America & they maintain a nonprofit year round! They feature over 150 musicians on 10 stages. 2020 note worthy headliners include: Miley Cyrus, Lizzo, Tame Impala, and Lana Del Ray.
For all of my Phoenix Friends I am listing some of our faves here that, at this time, are still scheduled to happen this year. I am so glad this first one is rescheduled because I was SO excited for it. Honestly, October is going to be great because the weather will be perfect. This rave takes place at Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, AZ. Featured Electronic Artists for 2020 include: Alesso, Seven Lions, Gryffin, and Nghtmre.
The Electric Daisy Carnival is an over the top playground complete with electronic music. With all of your favorite carnival thrill rides, and more than 8 stages. There are inspiring LED & glow in the dark installations to lead from one environment to the other and amazing performers to surprise you at every turn. With the best of the best in electronic performances you will be completely immersed for the weekend!
There are so many festivals postponed for this weekend you’ll have to pick which one is most important this year. Personally, you can find me in Napa Valley, CA. Sippin’ on the finest wines and listening to the best tunes. I can’t wait! The 2020 line up includes: Miley Cyrus, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Dave Matthews Band.
Taking place in Austin, Texas the ACL Festival features rock, indie, country, folk, electronic and hip-hip music. The 2020 lineup hasn’t been released yet. However, I’m sure it will be great if it is anything like 2019 which included Guns N’ Roses, Childish Gambino, & Mumford & Sons.
Held in India, California, Featuring a variety of music rom rock, pop, indie, hip hop, and electronic, as well as, art installations through-out the festival. This years headliners include: Rise Against the Machine, Travis Scott, and Frank Ocean.
Shaky Knees takes place in Atlanta, GA and this years headliners include: The Black Keys, The Strokes, & The Smashing Pumpkins. No doubt, theres also some amazing southern food to be enjoyed here.
Also held in Indio, California, this is basically the country music version of Coachella. Featuring activities like the honky-tonk dance hall, and the Toyota ride & drive. Headliners for 2020 include Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Alan Jackson, Old Dominion, and Dustin Lynch.
I haven’t gone to this festival in a few years but, holding it over halloween sounds like the BEST time! If you haven’t been thinking a weekend of camping, drinking, and country music with your friends and now you can add fun group costumes to the mix! This years headliners include: Kane Brown, Dustin Lynch, Luke Combs, Eric Church, Chris Janson, and Russel Dickerson.
Very similar to the Electric Daisy Festival in Las Vegas. The Orlando Festival is complete with 5 stages and all of the same amazing thrill rides & art installations. On a slightly smaller scale you will still find yourself completely immersed in an incredible electronic carnival for the weekend.
These festivals are the still listed to take place as of May 3, 2020. I’ve been doing research for this post for a few weeks now & everyday new ones are cancelling which is so heart breaking. I will do my best to keep this post updated for everyone!
If there is a festival you are watching that is still scheduled to happen in 2020 and I didn’t include it here please let me know, I’m happy to add it! These are just a few I am watching myself.
I hope this helped & got everyone excited for the day we can see each other at a festival again! I hope that time is very soon.
